Managing Director & Founder

PhD in Finance and UK certified investment manager with decades of entrepreneur experience, master plans and large scale infrastructure programme management along with skills in leading change and transformation across highly complex environments.

Member of the UIK Chartered Financial Analysts Society. Held positions such as CEO of Investment Holding with $2 bn assets, MD of Investment Bank and Fund Manager of Real Estate Investment Trust.

Prior to Cambridge IntelConstruction Group Alex was a Government Advisor and a shareholder/founder of private and public ventures where he provided investment advice and management.

Nigel Conybeare

CTO & Founder

With approaching 40 years of experience in the construction sector, Nigel’s wealth of knowledge extends across all building technologies and industry sectors. He has held senior posts at some of the UK’s major contractors with a remit for innovation and the development of new cost-effective delivery methods into significant high-profile projects. A background in offsite construction and a desire to change build methodologies with lateral thinking has seen Nigel develop and deliver a wide spectrum of sustainable and cost-effective off-site systems to projects such as Heathrow Terminal 2 and the Royal London Hospital.

 

As IntelConstruction’s principle technologist, lead designer and solutions developer, Nigel has created a unique offering for the market which is set to change the sectors approach to the internal fitout of any construction project. Delivering a safer, sustainable and more cost-effective solution that will revolutionise construction going forward.

Stan Hollins

Business Manager

A creative technologist from the broadcast engineering and operations sector, Stan has over 25 years’ experience of working in operational system design and engineering management. Throughout Stan’s career he has worked with, and embraced, innovative technologies which included 3D design and VR Systems.

  

Most recently, within the construction sector, Stan has concentrated on the adoption of Parametric Drawing and ‘iLogic’ design principles. Initially working in retrofit, he developed an onsite surveying solution delivering network monitoring and parametrically generated drawings to enable volume opportunities.

 

Stan’s responsibilities at IntelConstruction Group sees him returning to a Senior Management position and leading the IntelConstruction Solutions team through its development.

Scott Grenander

New Business Manager

A diverse hands on career in Project and Account Management roles in the construction sector has enabled Scott to develop an enviable network of contacts. Through his engagement in the Commercial Office fit out sector, Scott managed projects for customers that included Deloitte, Paragon, CBRE, BNP Paribas, Saville’s and GVA Grimley.

 

Over the last 5 years, Scott has concentrated on the Off-Site Manufacturing sector and through his Business Development role with Matilda’s Planet has worked extensively in the retrofit market with Local Authorities and Social Housing providers such as Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster City Council and Aberdeenshire Council. Continuing his work in the Offsite Manufacturing Sector, Scott has worked closely with Nigel to develop and present the IntelConstruction offering to the U.K. market, principally targeting the private residential market but developing wider networks and interest across both sectors and territories.

Hurricane Ivan struck the Caribbean island of Grenada with financial costs of c.US$1 bn, more than twice the country's GDP.  Grenada government adviser at that time Dr. Alex Brown spearheads a recovery masterplan with leading UK integrated design and engineering consultancy construction groups.

Alex Brown becomes a member of the CFA UK with a focus on Impact Investments.

2006

Nigel Conybeare is responsible for the design and installation of integrated walling systems in SAS International, a leading British manufacturer with innovation and cutting-edge technical expertise.

2007

Nigel is a DFMA Manager for Laing O’Rourke on Heathrow Airport T2 project in charge of design, manufacture and assembly of modular mechanical and electrical services.

2009

Nigel is the Technical Consultant and Inventor of numerous retrofit insulation systems and registers patents for the hybrid walling system in several countries.

2011 - 2017

Alex and Nigel form Cambridge IntelConstruction Group to develop construction projects through digital and advanced manufacturing technologies.
